World Kitchen is a global leader in the manufacture and distribution of non-electric consumer housewares. Our well known brands include CorningWare?, Pyrex?, Corelle?, Revere Ware?, Ekco? Kitchenware, Baker?s Secret?, and Chicago Cutlery?. We are currently seeking a Benefits Supervisor to oversee and manage the administration, communication and special projects supporting the Health and Welfare Plans in the United States.
Reporting to the Director of Compensation, Benefits and HRIS, and located in our Reston VA Corporate Office, the Benefits Supervisor will oversee programs for approximately 1,700 US benefits eligible employees, whose workforce compositon is approximately 60% union and 40% non-union. The successful candidate will recognize and repond in a timely fashion to benefits-related employee needs and market trends to increase employee satifacation and retention. Supervises 2 direct reports.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the relationship with the Benefits outsourced call center partner and be responsible for assessing the services and ensuring success of that partnerEnsures the timely enrollment and termination of employees to all benefit plans via benefit feeds, reconciliations, etc.Daily supervision 2 direct reports and programs relating, but not limited to Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, EAP, FMLA, Flex Spending, Workers Compensation and Paid Time Off. Provides back up support to the Defined Contribution and Defined Benefits Plans as needed.Manages timeline and successful rollout of annual Open Enrollment ProgramDevelops and executes communication program for all benefits Manages Annual Benefits Fairs at 5 ? 6 locationsDrives Benefits related projects, with consulting assistance, such as Smoking Cessation, Wellness initiatives, and Health Risk AssessmentsOversees financial impact of benefits costs and reports on internal and external trends.Participates in annual budget forecasting for benefits costs and oversees timely and accurate vendor payment processing.Establishes and monitors Benefit Metrics and maintains SOX and HIPPA compliance.Ensures accurate and timely filings of 5500 and distribution of benefit plan SARs.Recommends and identifies cost/benefit impact of benefit plan design changes, additions or deletions in accordance with market trends and Company strategy.Works closely with General Ledger and ensures journal entries for benefit costs, accruals and adjustments are correct.Insures that prompt and efficient service is provided to the internal customerAssist with international benefit program review, communication, and design analysis as needed.Other Job Duties and Responsiblites as required.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong attention to detailAbility to understand various deadlines and utilize resources to meet those deadlinesGood analytical, problem solving, auditing and reconciliation skillsGood understanding of banking functions, general ledger, and vendor interfacesAbility to project manage and run multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work with associates at all levels within the organizationProficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Ability to manage an outsourced benefits call centerAbility to design communication pieces and develop/conduct training programs on Health and Welfare plansUnderstanding of and adherence to and documentation required of control proceduresTravel between 10% to 20% of time required. Education and/or Experience4+ years directly applicable benefits experienceUp to 2 years supervisory experience highly desiredCEBS highly desiredKnowledge of US benefits Laws and RegulationsExperience in Self Funded Health Plans and/or Workers Compensation PlansUnderstanding of Union Contracts as related to benefits.Knowledge of SAP HRIS desired. ERP Experience/Knowledge desired.Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources or related.
