Description: 50% Leads financial reporting and billing processes for health and welfare programs. Responsible for administering and enhancing financial controls with vendors; including analysis and reporting of benefit program participation and costs. Responsible for managing financial reporting requirements for insurance renewal applications and ensuring regulatory and Sarbanes Oxley compliance. 30% Develops, maintains and analyzes benefit metrics. Identifies trends and improvement areas, develops processes based on best practices and coordinates corrective actions. Develops and enhances reporting tools and manages reporting needs for the department. 20% Provides system expertise to enhance benefit system applications, including data analysis, configuration and testing, issue resolution and development of processes. Facilitates cross-functional interactions with information systems and finance organizations for day-to-day operations and process improvements.
Requirements: Demonstrated ability to manage projects with focus on work product quality and efficiency. Capable of working well under pressure, able to prioritize multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with hands on approach to process improvement and effective problem resolution. Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Human Resources with at least 9 years of experience in finance, audit and compliance, benefit programs, or systems development. Access report writing expertise and advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and macros, strongly desired.
