Party Rental Ltd. Is a privately owned corporation headquartered in Teterboro, New Jersey. The Company, founded in 1972, is one of the largest party rental equipment operators in the United States with warehouse facilities in Teterboro, NJ, Pennsauken, NJ, Washington D.C. and Bridgehampton, NY. In addition, the Company has showrooms in New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Bridgehampton.
The Company carries an extensive inventory of all party rental items excluding tents. These items include china, flatware, glassware, tables, chairs, linens, tabletop accessories, cooking equipment, serving trays and platters, and other miscellaneous items. The Company is known for its extensive line of rental inventory including reception chairs with over 20 color options, linens offered in over 500 patterns, china in over 30 patterns and flatware in over 10 patterns.
The Company operates as a business-t-business operation (B2B) with customers including caterers, food service institutions, party planners and floral designers. The Company focuses its marketing efforts on large corporate events and fundraisers. The Company?s customers include a ?who?s who? in the corporate and philanthropic world including, but not limited to, American Express, Goldman Sachs, Restaurant Associates, Bloomberg, the Museum of Modern Art, Christies, etc. The Company primarily caters to large events in locations including the Lincoln Center, Brooklyn botanical Gardens, Wave Hill, Morgan Library, etc.
Job Description
Party Rental Ltd. is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and energetic. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills as well as the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should be able to manage all aspects of Human Resources for a labor-intensive company.
Skills and Responsibilities:
? Minimum of 3-5 years solid HR experience with at least 2-3 years as a decision maker
? MUST BE BILINGUAL (English/Spanish)
? Generalist background with experience in all aspects of Human Resources
? Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills with managers
? Knowledge of HR related federal, state and local laws
? Effective training and HR program development skills
? Flexible with hours and able to rotate some weekends (seasonal)
? Knowledge of Outlook a plus
? Excellent Organizational skills
? Proactive approach to effective employee relations
? Experience in a labor-intensive environment (warehouse, manufacturing)
? Solid problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
? Effective in role as mediator with employees/ Able to develop, recommend, and implement effective employee recognition programs and other programs for improving employee morale.
? Must be proficient in ADP/ E-time
? Must be a team player
