COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST

Position Summary: This position supports the Compliance Manager in the People Services Department, in the delivery and maintenance of internal compliance policies and programs. This position will ensure that the People Services function is compliant in several key areas, including HIPAA, ERISA, Sarbanes Oxley, annual DOL filings, required employment postings, unemployment processes, records retention, affirmative action plans, EEO1 filings, etc. This position will also assist field People Services employees with training and information to follow and support these processes.

This position will help the Compliance Manager to develop successful and efficient processes for compliance as well as leave of absence processing, handbook updates, benefits and payroll workflow.

Key Competencies: Organizing Managing through Systems Process Management Planning Written Communications Customer Focus Integrity and Trust

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Efficiently coordinate key compliance projects Work collaboratively with local People Services teams to ensure programs and procedures are implemented as intended Collaborate with payroll, finance and internal audit teams to administer internal and external audits Assist People Services compliance with key regulatory provisions including: HIPAA, ERISA, Sarbanes Oxley, annual DOL filings, required postings, EEO1 filings, affirmative action plans, unemployment reporting Assist with updates to internal documents and required employee communications Administer the companys leave of absence process in compliance with FMLA and internal policies Ensure that the companys Code of Conduct is distributed and acknowledged by all staff

Requirements:

Bachelors degree required with HR, business or related field major preferred
Minimum 3 years progressive HR administration experience
Knowledge of SOX compliance as relates to benefits and compensation programs strongly preferred
