Community Liaison

The Vineyard Community Church (VCC), located in Springdale, OH, was established in 1983 and today is home to over 5,000 regular attendees with 4 weekend services.  VCC's mission is to love the people of Cincinnati into relationship with Jesus Christ and to give away to the world what God has given us.

 

We are currently seeking a part-time Community Liaison for our MercyWorks ministry. MercyWorks offers practical, relational, and spiritual support to people and families who are experiencing difficult times.  More information can be found online at: www.VineyardCincinnati.com.

 

The Community Liaison is responsible for the effective coordination and provision of job and housing resources both within VCC and in the local community. The Community Liaison will oversee the ongoing delivery of services through Career Resources and Occupational Support Services (CROSS program), to include: identify and provide job and housing prospects for MercyWorks? clients; network with area agencies for the provision of employment, education, and training opportunities; organize job fairs and other in-house events; provide job coaching services and life skills classes and consultations; conduct client assessments as needed; coordinate job coaching and job search assistance efforts with the CROSS program (maintain communication w/ team, ensure effective resources, provide referrals, assist with coordination and training of volunteers, evaluate client satisfaction); assist job seekers with resumes, cover letters, and other job search skills as needed; carry out internal and external correspondence; other related duties as needed.

 

BS degree in social services, counseling, or other related field required or equivalent certification or practical experience will be considered. A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience which includes community or event coordination. Strong organizational skills, proven ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment and handle confidential information, knowledge with job search tools and skills. Intermediate to strong proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Cross-cultural experience and some Spanish language aptitude helpful.

 

Position requires a minimum of 20 hours/week with office hours Wednesday through Saturday, 9am-2pm.
