Key Responsibilities
Assists in administering the Authority?s compensation program; serves as an internal consultant to management as an expert in the Authority?s compensation and performance management programs. Administers the performance management system; audits the performance reviews; advises and provides recommendations to management regarding performance reviews and performance plans. Reviews and approves employee compensation actions. Collects and analyzes compensation information. Performs job analyses and job evaluations on exempt and non-exempt positions to determine appropriate salary grades. Provides consultation and analytical support to management. Coordinates various activities related to personnel records.
Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field and approximately three to six years of compensation administration experience. Certified Compensation Professional designation preferred.
Critical Success Factors
Knowledge of position description composition and union contract interpretation as it pertains to wages and hours. Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations and their applications. Ability to analyze statistical data and develop recommendations based on data. Ability to utilize computer applications, including HR Information Systems.
