JOB SUMMARYThe Compensation, Benefits & HRIS Analyst?s primary role is to help develop compensation and benefits programs, analyze the market and cost for programs, and work closely with IT in optimizing the system?s functions with regard to compensation and benefits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Helps develop compensation and benefits plans and programs. Participates in salary surveys and analyzes survey results to determine the organization's market relationship. Writes job descriptions. Develops recommendations to adjust salary structure in response to changing organizational needs and market values. Analyzes current organizational pay practices and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity. Conducts job analysis to determine appropriate salary. Reviews proposals for new or revised classifications to determine appropriate salary grade assignment. Develops and implements salary administration guidelines. Participates in development and administration of performance review system. Researches special compensation programs or incentive systems to support the organization's objectives. Evaluates and compares existing employee benefits with those of other employers by analyzing plans, surveys, and other sources of information. Analyzes results of benefits comparison and surveys and develops specific recommendations for review by management. Prepares benefits comparisons and analyzes costs associated with potential acquisitions and assists in modeling. Analyzes and tracks cost for benefits. Assists in evaluating and negotiating benefit plan designs and renewals. Assists in determining needs for HRIS implementation or upgrades. Develops, updates, and modifies codes, tables, reports, and other systems applications, including set ups for new plans. Recommends system design changes and upgrades based on efficiency of current system and user needs. Generates routine reports and designs special reports as requested. Works closely with IT on Oracle system upgrades, programming changes, plan setups, and regular testing. Leads year-end system review of plan options, limits, and benefits elements. Manages and/or participates in special projects and studies as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor?s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Minimum of five years of experience in human resources with at least three years of experience in compensation, benefits, and/or HRIS. Oracle experience preferred but not required. CCP and/or CEBS certification preferred. Solid knowledge of compensation, benefits, and HRIS practices.
