We are seeking a Compensation Consulting Director to join our growing Mid Atlantic Practice and contribute to our success.
In this newly created role you will be a senior member of the regional HR Consulting practice, nurturing and servicing the firm?s practice network nationally and across various business lines. You will contribute to the creation and execution of a business strategy to penetrate the local and regional market and introduce new clients to the firm. The Director will generate, qualify and capture new business opportunities and oversee multiple concurrent engagements, effectively managing client expectations regarding deliverables, quality, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
The successful candidate will work directly with our clients? CEO?s, CFO?s, top HR Executives and Boards of Directors to evaluate and develop compensation solutions to align with and drive business results. The Consulting Director will plan, design and implement base salary, short-term incentive and long-term incentive programs for existing and new clients as well as advise in areas of Human Resources strategy. The qualified candidate will possess:
?Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, Human Resources or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.
?12+ years experience in the development and implementation compensation programs at all organizational levels (preferably to include consulting firm as well as corporate experience).
?Proven project management expertise.
?Knowledge of tax, corporate finance, regulatory and accounting requirements necessary for the design of compensation programs. Hands-on experience with special equity and incentive plans for situations such as: IPO?s, LBO?s, M&A?s, divestitures, recapitalization and venture/entrepreneurial start-ups will be highly valued.
?An executive presence with polished and well developed written and oral communication skills.
?Ability to influence senior management and work across all levels of an organization.
?A history of building effective relationships in client organizations and in the regional business community.
?Knowledge of HR theories, systems, practices, and precedents relating to compensation, benefits, retention, motivation, training, and performance management.
?Outstanding problem solving skills.
?Experience with Microsoft Office products.
