Compensation & Benefit Analyst

  Description: · Leads preparation of position profiles and evaluates positions using established evaluation methods

?  Manages day-to-day administration for equity plans, including stock options and restricted stock grants, exercises/lapsed, cancellations and all related communication and tracking

?  Leads administration of annual merit and bonus plan, and assists with performance review program

?  Leads preparation and solicits input for in preparation of all open enrollment materials, and conducts annual employee meetings

?  Prepares and reviews employee booklets or communications covering compensation and benefits plans for the company

?  Counsels and advises employees regarding their eligibility for and participation in compensation and benefits plans for the company.

?  Audits evaluation of existing jobs to ensure equity across the company, legal compliance and proper classification; keeps compensation and benefits records.

?  Assists with HIPAA and ERISA compliance (annual audits, etc.)

?  Consults with field management and HR staff to provide subject matter expertise for arising situations/issues.

 

Skills

?  Broad knowledge of principles, practices and established field methodology

?  Ability to apply experience and knowledge to complex company problems

?  Ability to effectively research and understand complicated legal matters as they apply to compensation and benefits plans

?  Strong project management

?  Ability to multi task and prioritize

?  Business acumen and financial/ accounting knowledge ? how comp/benefits impact finance & accounting

 

Experience

?  5+ years experience in professional compensation and benefits

?  Fundamental knowledge of pension/retirement, health & welfare benefits/ ERISA rules

?  Solid understanding of compensation practices, evaluation methodology and data analysis

?  Expert or very proficient in Excel

?  Familiarity with Access

?  Ability to use website management tools

?  Must be VERY detailed/numbers oriented, but still able to make presentations to employees and interface with other departments

?  Should have led at least one of the following:  annual merit/bonus process, open enrollment, benefit rate setting

?  Familiarity with equity plans
