Compensation and Benefits Director

Intermet Corporation, an $800M metal casting manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Director of Compensation and Benefits to be located in downtown Fort Worth, Texas. This position will report to the CFO.



The Director of Compensation and Benefits will manage enterprise-wide compensation and benefit programs and will actively assist Intermet Corporation in achieving its profitability, cash flow, and revenue goals.



 

Responsibilities

 

? Develops, recommends and implements new and revised compensation and benefit programs, policies and procedures for all company operations

? Develops census data and solicits insurance companies for quotations for all company benefit programs; evaluates quotations and makes recommendations to management to ensure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to the company and employee

? Administers all employee benefit programs; assures that all summary plan documents are accurate

? Oversight of defined benefit plans; primary liaison between company and the actuaries and trustees for each plan

? Assures compliance with ERISA

? Reviews and analyzes changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and provides periodic updates to management

? Acts as consultant to plants and subsidiaries in all compensation and benefit matters

? Provides assistance during labor negotiations, as necessary

? Supports corporate HR needs

 

Qualifications



? Bachelor?s degree from a four year accredited university

? 5-10 years of progressive benefits experience with 3 or more years at a management level position

? SHRM and CEBS certifications are preferred

? Must be willing to travel extensively during first few months of employment
