Contract Benefits Specialist - Actuarial exp.

Manpower Professional has an exciting opportunity for a contract Benefits Specialist downtown Chicago. Our client seeks a minimum of 5 years experience doing Defined Benefit calculations and the ability to do Minimum Required Distribution calculations and post Normal Retirement Data calculations (actuarial increase). Experience in data research and proficiency in MS Excel and Word (including Mail Merges) is required.
This critical position is responsible for reviewing and analyzing defined benefit plan documents and policy guidelines to interpret and determine eligibility. The role involves heavy interfacing with plan participants, client groups and external contacts to determine appropriate benefit resolutions and provide guidance on benefit related issues. Incumbent may also be asked to answer escalated calls as necessary (during peak times).
To qualify for this role, you must bring extensive knowledge of subject areas as well as the willingness and ability to assist in resolving client issues. You must be reliable and flexible and possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with consistently changing priorities. Strong customer service skills as well as exceptional written, verbal and analytical skills are a must. Completion of some CEBS courses and/or the CEBS designation is beneficial.
