Contract Human Resources (HR) Manager
KPMG LLP provides audit, tax and advisory services to a broad range of clients. KPMG??s commitment to its clients is demonstrated in our client service delivery approach with cross-functional teams that extend across industry segments. We are currently seeking a Contract Human Resources (HR) Manager to service the leaders and employees in our Mountain View office.
Responsibilities:
- Work with an assigned client leadership team to provide leadership, direction and experience to Partners, Directors, and Managers in the areas of federal and state employment laws, implementation and customization of HR programs, products and services, as well as establish appropriate internal approval processes within the client group
- Provide advice and counsel to management in the following areas: employee relations, employee transactions, manpower planning, performance management, career development, delivery of training initiatives, salary administration and compliance with firm initiatives and programs
- Provide advice and counsel to staff in the following areas: resolution of employee questions and concerns related to firm HR policies and procedures, investigation of alleged unfair practices and career counseling
- Help to ensure the compliance of KPMG??s performance management process and provide timely and meaningful feedback during the goal setting, interim and annual review processes
- Provide counsel and guidance on compensation issues related to internal promotions, new hire compensation and market/equity adjustments
- Help to ensure consistency in the application of compensation programs and policies within practice
- Help to ensure that leadership and employees are informed of KPMG??s HR policies and practices, KPMG programs and proposed changes that will affect their employees and/or their operation??s effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university or the equivalent work experience
- Seven years of progressive HR or comparable experience
- Strong advising skills, comprehensive understanding of HR principles, in-depth knowledge of employment law and experience in resolving employee relations issues
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with leadership and employees
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications
