Developmental Opportunity in HR - Assoc. HR Manager

Milgard Windows and Doors is growing rapidly and there is an aggressive advancement plan in place for people who are interested in moving up the ladder. 

 

Milgard?s plant in Tualatin is seeking an Associate HR Manager (AHRM).  This position will report to the Human Resource Manager, and will train to go into management with our company.  If you are a Human Resource expert with 3+ years experience in Employee Relations, Benefits and Training we are interested in speaking with you.

 

An AHRM is the Location Champion for the Milgard Philosophy and Training.  This person will work with leadership to:
Reflect the Milgard-Portland business values and the Milgard philosophy in all business interactions
Coordinate and communicate employee programs (i.e. employee of the quarter, service awards, charity and community activites, etc.)
Administer benefits, open enrollment and work closely with employees to resolve benefit issue
Write and deliver presentations regarding human resources policies and procedures
Assists in the development and presentation of management
Conducts new-hire training programs
Document employee onboarding, progressive discipline, termination, resignation, etc 
Identify and create opportunities for internal promotions and training
Create and execute company objectives and location commitments

 

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of three years Human resources experience in the capacity of HR Generalist or HR Manager
Experience in employment law, employee relations and organizational development
Prior Supervisory experience a plus

 

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
BS/BA required
PHR certification desired

 

ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs
Proven written and oral communication skills
Ability to create and execute strategic initiative Excellent customer service skills
Spanish or Russian bilingual a plus

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work performed indoors in a climate controlled environment and in a warehouse type production facility
