Position: Director, Human Resources  Flower Mound, TX

 

The purpose of this position is to manage the human resources activities of the S.W. Division.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Recruit, interview and refer qualified applicants to managers for employment selection. Manage the exempt and non-exempt compensation programs. Develop and revise as necessary the non-exempt salary structure and job descriptions. Administer the benefit programs. Develop new programs and activities that would improve employee morale. Ensure the consistent application of EEO and Affirmative Action Policies and all other company and regulatory government policies. Responsible for EEO reporting and the preparation of the Affirmative Action Plan for assigned areas. Perform training needs analysis.  Develop and conduct training and development programs to meet system needs. Coordinate the maintenance of manual and automated human resources records. Coordinate and monitor the performance evaluation and career development process. Provide employee relations assistance through problem resolution, interpretation of human resources policies for management and employee counseling.  Review and evaluate disciplinary actions to include written warnings, suspensions and dismissals, etc. to ensure consistent application of company policies, contract agreement, federal and state laws. Coordinate risk management efforts for systems. Participate in and develop salary surveys as required. Conduct new employee orientation covering the review of company benefits and rules. Attend community events in an effort to gain high visibility of Time Warner Cable in service areas. Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor?s Degree in human resources management or related field of study or the equivalent of three to five years human resources work experience at the exempt-level covering all areas listed in the position description.

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Ability to lead, motivate and supervise personnel. Must have good verbal, written and interpersonal communications. Excellent communication administrative, analytical and human relation skills. Ability to work with employees at all levels. Must exercise independent judgment and maintain confidentiality.

 

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Personal computer and printer., Dispatch Radio, Telephone System, Cash Register, Copy machine, Fax machine, Various office computer supplies: floppy disks, computers, papers, ribbon, etc.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB:

Sitting for long periods of time. Works inside throughout the year. Typing and reading on computer. Data entry on ten keys. Communicating with customers by telephone, in person, and in writing.
