JOB SUMMARY


Leads, plans and directs the human resources activities of the HRBFA Human Resources function.


Ensures strategies are developed and executed to impact culture, leadership, associate satisfaction, associate development, performance management and other elements that impact overall organizational effectiveness.


Collaborates with other members of the HR management team in the planning and strategizing projects, policies and systems that impact the overall Company.


Manages HR Team including a 6 person team in Detroit, a HR Representative at the Service Center and overall coordination with the field HR Team to ensure coverage for the field.


Minimum Requirements


Education


Bachelor?s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and exempt level experience.


Experience
Significant progressive human resources experience to include HR strategic planning, development and implementation of organizational development initiatives. Should have prior experience in other aspects of human resources to include employment, associate relations, training and compensation.
Proven success in leading and managing. Experience managing a field staff is highly desirable.
Knowledge of human resources principles, policies, and techniques.
Knowledge of problem resolution principles and techniques.
Demonstrated ability to build cooperation and cohesiveness of HR team.
Strong understanding of leadership development and experience leading organizational change.
Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with senior leaders and influence decisions related to people initiatives.
Proven ability to deliver results, impact business outcomes, meet deadlines and budgets.
Strong problem resolution skills.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and mediate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
A minimum of ten years progressive human resources experience to include HR strategic planning, development and implementation of organizational development initiatives. Should have prior experience in other aspects of human resources to include employment, associate relations, training and compensation.
A minimum of 5 years experience managing people.
Master?s degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
Experience in the financial service industry
Knowledge of laws and regulations impacting financial advisors and licensed securities sales individuals.
Certification through the Society of Human Resources Management (SPHR).
Technical skills
Understanding and previous use of a Windows-based computer system.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to navigate on the Internet.
Management
A minimum of five years experience managing a workforce in multiple locations with varied skill sets.
