Director, Staffing

Job Description: In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative strategies for acquiring talent across the Prudential businesses. You will lead a professional team of recruiters and motivate them to drive results to the next level.  Our new technology platform and redesigned process allow for creative and cutting edge solutions for sourcing and recruiting. You will leverage your expertise with web-based applicant tracking systems and online sources to reduce time spend on non-value added tasks and focus on finding the right talent.  You will partner with external service providers to find winning strategies to recruit talent.  This role will interface with our outsourcing partner, Hewitt and a variety of HR functions in a cohesive approach to support our business leaders. 
 
This position will support and interact with the senior executives and staff of all of Prudentials businesses including Insurance, Retirement Services, and Investments and corporate functions.  You will work closely with a team of talented and progressive HR professionals, as well as leveraging your technical expertise in staffing process to ensure the selection process is world-class.


The successful candidate will work collaboratively and proactively to meet the needs of the client groups, bringing in internal and/or external resources as necessary and working in the context of the entire function and enterprise.

Being close to the marketplace through benchmarking and networking, you will analyze both recruitment and business trends to provide consultative solutions.  This position will report to the Vice President, Staffing.


 


Job Requirements:


 


Staffing Expertise:
5-8+ years of HR recruiting experience including recent staffing background, with demonstrated experience in partnering with and influencing management on key business planning and goals
Ability to create and execute strategic sourcing plans
Expertise in innovative recruitment advertising approaches
Expertise in building and managing to rigorous staffing metrics
Knowledge of Insurance, Retirement Services, and/or Investments functions a plus
Experience operating in an outsourced HR model a plus
Thorough knowledge of human resources policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
