USG Corporation has an opening for a Employee Benefits Manager,at its Corporate headquarters located in downtown Chicago, IL.  The Employee Benefits Manager position will be responsible for the following:

 Manages the administration of USG Corporation benefit programs on behalf of plan participants and the Corporation. Promote the value of the benefit programs while ensuring consistent application of USG policies/procedures and benefit compliance with plan and government requirements.

Manages relationships through effective leadership and communication with program vendors and internal Information Technology team to ensure HR/payroll data, recordkeeping systems and processes balance, report and support benefit programs.

Manages the processes, procedures and implementation of the USG Corporation Benefit plans supporting the recordkeeping systems and data to vendors servicing USG benefits.

Responds to and counsels with HR representatives, employees, retirees and third party providers to address escalated and legal benefit questions and issues.

Keeps abreast of current government regulations and maintains compliance on USG?s benefit programs to meet compliance and aligned with the organizations overall philosophy.

Participate in the review of plan design changes and enhancements. Implement process upgrades, legal document amendments and communication to participants.

Qualified candidates must have the following:

 Bachelor's Degree  5+ years prior experience in HR/Benefits Administration Strong Leadership, decision making, and team building skills Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication/presentation skills Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and simultaneously Competent in computer skills including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.

Preferred Skills:CEBS preferred, not required Management of plan administration with vendors and good understanding of legislative rules and regulations to mmet compliance Experience in HR/Payroll and Accounting/Finance  Experience in Plant Manufacturing environment
