This position will join the energetic and fast-paced Organizational Effectiveness team supporting the Individual Life Division. As a integral part of implementing the division-wide engagement strategy, this role will help develop, manage, and measure campaigns designed to inform, educate, align, and engage all levels of the organization.

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Senior Communications Consultant

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:3 to 7 years expereience in communications, preferably employee communicationsExcellent communication skills, including advanced writing, editing and verbal expertiseBachelor's degree in English, journalism or related field, or related experienceExperience in managing communication plans across geographic differencesAble to make decisions autonomously in anticipation of management needsProven ability to implement strategy and measure successStrong business acumenAdaptable, flexible and comfortable with ambiguityThrives while working under pressure, while meeting tight deadlinesProven ability to establish strong interdepartmental relationships with all levels of managementSome travel between Maple Grove, Minnesota and Woodbury, Minnesota as needed. Less frequently, travel to Simsbury, Connecticut will be required.

 

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION?This position is responsible for sucessfully planning, implementing and measuring communication/engagement campaigns (activities) designed to connect employees to the vision, strategy and goals of the divisionSupporting the engagement strategy, this position will communicate key messages and develop initiatives that inform, educatoin, align, and engage leaders, managers, and employees across Individual Life. Support formal division-wide communication vehicles, ensuring that ILD's message platform is integrated into every communication opportunity. Ensure clear and concise communications by translating complex ideas into simple terms for formal and informal communication vehiclesProvide clear audience analysis, considering obstaclesa dn opportunities when translating messages and designing programs, to support the engagement planUse sound business knowledge to implement programs that will drive strategic alignment throughout the organizationLeverage past experience writing financial communications, including sales and business performance analysis. Create visual collateral pieces to enhance messagesConduct external research, benchmarking and best practice studies as necessary
