Employee Relations Associate

DIMENSION & SCOPE This position assists with interpreting;researching;and advising on policies;procedures;employee relations;turnover;and other HR related issues.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Support the employee relations staff with the development, administration, and
management of employee relations functions.
Serve as an information resource for management regarding routine employee
relation issues.
Assist with solution development for solving employee relations issues.
Provide Human Resources related guidance to management as needed, including
informational articles, brochures, and policies.
Work with other members of Human Resources to develop materials that update and
inform management on pertinent work force issues and concerns.
Collect and summarize exit interviews for management review.
Assist with interpreting policies, regulations, and programs in a manner
conducive to company goals.
Assist with coordinating community events and programs such as United Way,
Blood Drives, etc.
Assist with coordinating programming efforts for specialized needs of division
and departments.
Research routine employee issues.


EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS


Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or
related field from a four-year college or university.


CANDIDATE PROFILE


Three to five years Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Must have proficiency with various software applications programs including
Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented
and rapidly changing business environment.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge of employment, wage and hour, FMLA, and EEO laws.
