Employee Relations Rep
QTC is the largest private provider of government-outsourced medical and disability examination services in the nation. Our 25-year history delivering technology-driven examination solutions not only benefits our customers but also the industry as a whole. We were the first and only private examination provider awarded the Pilot Program Contract to perform Compensation and Pension examinations for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The US Senate called upon QTC for expert testimony regarding the value of value of such third-party examinations for the purpose of government-based programs. More importantly, the House of Representatives recognized QTC for our innovative solutions to plaguing industry issues.
We are looking for experienced and capable individuals to uphold this reputation of excellence as we expand into other segments within the health care market. Take part in further solidifying QTC?s position as not only the largest, but also leading private examination provider available to the US and surrounding areas.
We are currently seeking an Employee Relations Representative for our office in Denver, Colorado.
The Employee Relations Representative is responsible for the overall performance of QTC employees and managers. This position will be heavily involved in the employee relations and management relations including benefits, compensation, staffing and training with regards to human resources. This position will provide daily guidance, advice, mentoring and coaching in order to ensure fair treatment of employees, a positive work environment, consistent application and adherence to company policies and legal compliance according to state and federal law.
Job duties will include:
Manage the employee relations issues at all levels by counseling, mediating and resolving disputes, coordinating investigations of complaints and grievances, and supporting risk assessment management.
Monitor and improve performance management program paperwork including 90 day review and yearly reviews and work closely with management teams to ensure timely and effective review.
Responsible for communicating, coaching, and training employees in company policies and procedures, proactive employee relations programs, and workforce development.
Manage the termination process (voluntary and involuntary) to ensure data collection, paper work and if necessary appropriate disciplinary actions are taken and documented.
Provide guidance and oversight on EEO, ADA, and FMLA law compliance programs and coordinate investigations for EEO charges and other legal claims.
Requirements:
Well-developed communication (written and verbal), counseling, and investigative skills.
Knowledge of Federal/State employment laws including FLSA, ADA, EEO and FMLA
Creative problem solving and communication skills
Balance of assertiveness and diplomacy with employees, management and senior management
Maintains strict confidentiality according to company, state and federal law and high level of professional behavior
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and complete projects while working with minimal supervision
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with great attention to details
Ability and confidence to make effective presentations to small and large groups
Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources or business preferred or equivalent education/experience.
2 ? 5 years experience in Human Resources position (preferably employee relations or generalist)
PC skills: Word,excel, and Windows preferred
PHR or SPHR a plus
