Description:
What you will be doing:
1. Responds to routine telephone inquiries and issues from employees regarding health and welfare benefits, employee stock purchase plan, 401K Thrift, compensation and payroll, human resource policies, AIG policies, and short term and long term disability.

2. Resolves issues using available reference material and on-line material search tools.

3. Issues and inquiries than cannot be resolved during the call with the reference material available are sent to the appropriate individual as a research item.

4. All incoming calls are logged into the Employee Service Center Call Tracking Database. Calls that can be resolved are closed and those that need research are documented in the tracking form and sent to the appropriate researcher.

5. Verifies written and verbal employment verifications. This includes completion of mortgage loan inquiries and responding to unemployment claims.

6. Assist with payroll and database testing and benefit or payroll related data clean up in conjunction with the Benefits
Administration team.

7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

What we require:
High school degree and preferably some college with two-three years of related experience. Seeking 1-year minimum Call Center experience and/or HR Benefits experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer service orientation and PC literacy. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely. Must have the ability to remain focused and calm when dealing with employees at all levels of the organization. Flexibility and ability to work in a team environment. Continuing education on Customer Service Skills and HR experience a plus!
