Principal Responsibilities
? Sources qualified candidates for new and existing vacancies at all levels within the organization to include non-exempt, exempt, and management positions. Sourcing includes placing job postings via appropriate sources, reviewing resumes and applications to match required job specifications, conducting initial telephone screens, and evaluating background and reference checks to determine best fit for the position and organization.
? Conducts in person interviews of qualified job applicants to evaluate information such as job experience, education and training, knowledge, skills and abilities, and other data pertinent to referral and selection. Informs applicants of position specifications, job duties and responsibilities, working conditions, compensation and benefits, normal work hours and conditions, promotional opportunities, and Company culture and values.
? Updates applicant status in HRIS system, follows up with applicants in regards to their applications, schedules candidates for testing and interviews, maintains job postings on various systems (Job Track, Monster.com).
? Assume all other responsibilities as directed.
A successful candidate will have:
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Ability to interact cordially with other employees to accomplish common tasks is essential to this position.
? Ability to adhere to the regular work schedule is essential to this position.
? Must have thorough working knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations regarding employment practices and policies/general human resources policies and practices (EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc.), and common interview techniques.
? Must be able to evaluate and analyze applicant data and compare to job specifications in order to screen for qualified applicants.
? Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environmental, while maintaining the utmost level of professionalism with all levels in and out side of the organization.
Worker characteristics are normally acquired through the successful completion of a Bachelors Degree in a related area and 2 - 3 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized coursework in the area of Human Resources desirable (PHR).
