Within our internal executive / leadership recruitment team, the Sr. Recruiter is responsible for recruitment of mid level professional to executive level candidates using best practices for attracting, sourcing and screening applicants for UnitedHealth Group. Accountabilities include leading the development of ongoing creative and cost effective sourcing strategies for assigned open positions and for future / pipelining needs. The Senior Recruiter consults with managers throughout the hiring process, providing detailed assessments for all candidates sourced. He / she manages the presentation; selection; offer negotiation and closing; and administrative components involved in making a hire.

 

Responsibilities:

? Act as primary senior-level functional recruitment resource for one or more business segments within UnitedHealth Group on a national basis? Demonstrates best practices, troubleshoots with team members and serves as a mentor/coach on recruitment initiatives

? Assist in managing/auditing the requisition process

? Work with hiring manager to build overall understanding of position/department/organization utilizing thorough requisition intake methodologies

? Lead in defining and executing appropriate sourcing strategies defined by the business need, to include all internal and external resources available.

? Lead in the development of sourcing strategies that support the business need defined by our Affirmative Action Plans.

? Strategize/implement effective short and long term marketing campaigns by function in order to create awareness and local/national branding

? Develop an effective pipeline of candidates and manage candidate flow throughout process. Where appropriate, engage Sourcing Specialist

? Telephone interview and evaluate candidates utilizing behavior based interview/assessment techniques

? Present pre-screened candidates to management in a professional, well-written manner

? Debrief hiring manager and candidates throughout recruitment process

? Assist manager in evaluating candidates, offer negotiation, and overall process troubleshooting

? Move candidates through steps and statuses in real time as well as manage overall process within recruiting technology

? Work with management staff to develop effective recruitment processes at the local level

? Lead the management of aging requisitions by function to include seeking out assistance from AE's / Recruiting Manager as warranted by situation

? Assist in creating an awareness and overall management of appropriate departmental and organizational staffing metrics

? Work with Recruiting Coordinator/administrator to initiate offer processing including background and drug screening.

Small amounts of travel may be required
BS/BA degree in Human Resources or related field
5+ years of staffing and recruitment experience
PHR, SPHR, CPC certifications a plus
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Excellent consultation skills particularly with needs definition and candidate assessment
Experience working in a high volume, high performance recruitment environment
Exceptional sourcing skills including cold calling and networking
