Support Human Resources activities for an assigned Facility Management (FM) Account/s to ensure the standardized application of policies, procedures, and practices.  Develop and implement strategies to ensure Human Resources (HR) needs of the assigned account are met, in order to contribute to the profitability and growth of the business.  Serve as a key staff support person by providing counsel, advice, recommendations and actions relating to HR matters.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:Partners with Facility Management Account/s management team to complete Human Resources business reviews and assists in developing plans that address HR impact on FM Account goals and financial budgets.  Assists in developing strategies that ensure the availability, quality and capability of HR to achieve business plan objectives. Partners with Account management team to ensure HR practices are consistent with overall objectives, and support the growth and development of JCI Account employees. Supports FM Account by responding to HR related inquiries arising from JCI employees at the account. Works with the Account/Vertical Market HR Manager and appropriate Home Office HR contacts to research and provide appropriate response. Responsible for providing recruitment support for staffing JCI Account openings at assigned FM Account.  Coordinates hiring and promotional activities with Home Office Staffing personnel. Provides input on decisions requiring sound Human Resources practices and management techniques be employed.  Works to meet established objectives for Affirmative Action and Diversity, and to prevent or mitigate legal actions. Collaborates with FM Account and Vertical Market HR Managers to develop and implement Affirmative Action Plans and reporting requirements.  Monitors HR transactions to assure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations. Provides HR support and coordination for account start-up activities and transition plans to ensure proper hand-off at with their respective accounts at end of transition. Provides HR support regarding employee relations' issues.  Assists with investigations of complaints, and reviews and approvals for disciplinary actions and terminations. Supports other HR related activities as required, including exit interviews, training in performance management, positive employee relations, and other HR related training needs. Reviews, audits, and approves salary transactions for assigned Account employees according to applicable procedures and within approved authority. Counsels and advises management regarding Salary Planning/Compensation, equity issues, promotions, job reclassifications, etc. Partners with FM Account Management Team to ensure positive client relations Facilitates management/all employee training programs that support business needs and/or legal requirements. Serves as source for HR Account information and as primary contact for Controls Home Office HR. Serves as back up to Account Human Resources Manager. Provides guidance and direction to FM Account support staff. Conducts studies and performs other duties as required.



Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.  Three to five years of HR Generalist experience recommended, preferably in a fast-paced environment requiring the need to provide guidance and support to lead team efforts.  Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, management, and customers.  Demonstrated experience in coordinating, planning and deploying HR programs and initiatives. Solid PC skills with specific command of Microsoft Office suite software.  Demonstrated ability to effectively counsel with FM Account Management Team. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
