Position Summary: Provides consulting services and act as the Human Resources liaison for all division employees on matters relating to staffing, affirmative action/EEO support, compensation, benefits, payroll, employee relations, personnel administration, training and development. Provides interpretation and application of human resources policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
2. Minimum 4 years experience which demonstrates competency in at least five of the following specialties:
- Human Resources Planning
- Employee Training/Development
- Organization Development
- Compensation
- Human Resources Info Systems
- Benefits
- Staffing
- EEO
- Performance Appraisal/Management
- Labor Relations
- Employee Relations
3. Experience that demonstrates organization and leadership skills associated with supervision or project management
4. Experience researching, compiling and analyzing information required for issue resolution or program enhancement recommendations
5. Knowledge of laws and regulations governing employment, labor relations and compensation
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Masters degree in Human Resources Management or related field
2. Professional certification, i.e., Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)
3. Experience managing a Human Resource Department
Responsibilities:
1. Serves as point of contact for management and employees on matters relating to human resource policies and the management of human resources
2. Maintains required human resources databases and ensures information and required documentation flow to appropriate Region/Corporate Human Resources areas
3. Performs recruitment planning; assessment of market availability of suitable candidates; job advertisement and posting; candidate evaluation, interview and referral; recruitment documentation and related duties
4. Drafts job descriptions and qualification statements for use by Corporate Compensation in job evaluations and in administering the merit review program
5. Consults with Region Field Human Resources Manager and Vice President, Employee Relations in employee dispute resolutions, employee discipline, and other employee relations matters
6. Prepares and administers the annual budget for the Field Human Resources Department
7. Establishes, maintains and assures confidentiality and compliance with legal employment recordkeeping standards
8. Coordinates and administers salary administration and performance review program
9. Conducts presentations in employee meetings covering all facets of human resources
10. Conducts new employee orientation sessions and answers questions to assure timely enrollment in benefit plans
11. Plans and/or participates in planning all company-sponsored activities such as recognition, social, and wellness events
12. Represents the Company by responding to regulatory agencies/attorneys regarding complaints of unlawful discrimination
13. Select Competent staff in accordance with legal, corporate and department hiring guidelines
14. Coordinate applicable training with Corporate Human Resources training and Division Management
15. Other duties as assigned
