Freight Contract/Rate Administrator

Manpower, a leader in the staffing industry, is currently seeking a dynamic individual to serve in the role of Freight Contract/Rate Administrator. This person will be responsible for preparing and administering freight contracts, managing carrier certificates of insurance and maintaining rates and tariffs for all freight carriers.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Day-to-day collection and validation of carrier contracts, rates, insurance certificates, etc.
*Working with Rock-Tenn's third party freight payment vendor to maintain carrier rates as well as monitor freight payment KPI's and metrics.
*Frequent communication with vendors, carriers and Rock-Tenn sites to resolve issues and disputes with rates and tariffs.
*Selecting any new carriers to bring onto Rock-Tenn's transportation program and assist sites to work with these new carriers to ensure a smooth transition.

Other duties as assigned. Required Skills:
*Bachelor's degree required.
*Logistics, business or industrial engineering majors preferred.
*Previous experience in transportation industry strongly preferred.
*Strong organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills required.
*Excellent data management skills a must.
*Must possess the ability to multi-task amongst multiple internal customer sites and freight carriers on a daily basis.
*Strong task-orientation necessary.
*Should possess initiative and be a self-starter.
*Able to handle daily problem resolution to assist sites with any carrier and related contract
