Position Summary:

Working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, the GPS Strategic Sourcing consultant is responsible for the quality and effectiveness of sourcing talent to meet GPS recruiting needs. Additionally grasping the concepts of the business process within federal, state, and local government agencies and how they differ from regular private industry is important. Grant Thornton's Global Public Sector, based in Alexandria, Va., is a global management consulting business with the mission of providing responsive and innovative financial, performance management and systems solutions to governments and international organizations.
The GPS Strategic Sourcing Consultant reports directly to the GPS Recruiting Manager and will work in concert with the GPS Recruiting Team to support the recruiting function. In addition the Sourcing consultant will partner and build effective relationships at all levels to ensure an efficient and successful sourcing process.

Essential Duties and responsibilities:

- Directly manage and support the GPS Sourcing strategy
- Develop, implement, and ensure that sourcing strategies complement and deliver results regarding the diversity recruitment strategy.
- Measure and ensure continuous improvement of sourcing delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Manage the process for ensuring that the GPS Sourcing function is focused on identifying, attracting, and optimizing the proper talent.
- Proactively identify, source, and recruit candidates utilizing a variety of sources including, but not limited to, internet postings and search, direct sourcing, employee referrals, job fairs, research, print media, networking, and agencies.
- Provide direct support to the GPS recruiting manager and facilitate the hiring or targeted professionals based on agreed-upon hiring plans in accordance with division plans and goals.
- Insure that the Recruiting Team has a pre-qualified pipeline of highly qualified candidates and that the hiring goals are met.
- Help determine appropriate metrics for the GPS Sourcing function to insure that goals are achieved.
- Work with the GPS Recruiting Manager and the Director of Human Resources to establish agreed upon performance metrics.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field. PHR or SPHR a plus.
- 5+ years of extensive sourcing and recruiting experience is required.
- Experience in sourcing for governmental talent, or in a Professional/Financial consulting services firm is highly desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of various sourcing and search methodologies.
- Knowledge about market trends and sourcing/search best practices.
- Experience with RecruitMax or any automated on-line recruiting product is a plus.
- Experience recruiting for governmental agencies is beneficial for the successful candidate in this position.
- Proven expertise in successfully developing and implementing recruiting sourcing and search strategies.
- Proven successful track record in diversity recruiting.
- Proven track record of measurable success in sourcing/search activities.
- Excellent communication, influence, and relationship skills.
- People management skills including coaching and feedback and demonstrated ability to manage resources that are geographically dispersed.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation, and collaboration skills along with excellent computer skills is necessary.
- Proven project management skills.
- Ability to work additional hours as needed.
