HR/Benefits Analyst

Serta Mattress Company, a market leader of exceptional quality bedding products & services, has an exciting opportunity at our NW suburban Chicago corporate office.

 

Researches, analyzes, evaluates, tracks expenses, audits, and administers health & welfare nonunion and union benefit plans/programs. Administers FMLA/LOA/Disability programs and manages performance management process. Acts as liaison with Quality/Health & Safety and DOT/Transportation functions including Workers? Comp claim administration, tracking and auditing of statistics; administers mandated random drug/alcohol testing of truck drivers and handles ?NBC Driver? monitoring and documenting. Identifies trends and make recommendations to management. Provides direct backup support to Group payroll processing and daily 401k administration.

 

Requires: bachelor's degree in a related area (or equivalent college course work with progressively responsible related experience); 2-4 years experience in the field or in a related area; ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision making with ability to maintain strict confidentiality is a mandatory requirement; strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (written/verbal/phone/email) skills; solid computer skills in Microsoft Office products with intermediate to advanced Excel & intermediate Word; solid internet research skills; familiarity with federal/state employment laws; and effective follow-up skills with strong attention to detail with ability to handle multiple projects and work proficiently in a fast paced, team oriented environment.  Familiarity with payroll/ADP preferred; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
