The HR Consultant serves as a primary contact point for internal customers. This is a lead-level professional position responsible for carrying out the highest level of HR Consultant responsibilities, serves as a subject matter expert, leads large HR projects and initiatives within area of responsibility, participates in large company wide HR projects and initiatives, and serves as a coach and mentor to lower level HR Consultants. Substantial latitude for independent decision-making. Partners with HR Management in problem definition, solution development, and implementation of action plans for key HR initiatives within area of responsibility. Works closely with all levels of business area management in proactively developing solutions to employee related issues. May require from 25 to 50% travel.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate:
* Proven experience partnering with business area managers to proactively develop solutions to employee related issues that affect business results.
* Strategic planning skills and prior experience leading HR projects and initiatives for area of responsibility
* The ability to coach and mentor managers and employees by providing developmental feedback
* Identifies training needs and conducts employee training sessions/workshops to address these needs
* Excellent employee relations skills having managed high-visibility and complex issues
* Mentors lower level HR Consultants to assist in their development of HR theory and practice

Qualified candidates must possess:
* Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field
* Minimum eight to ten years experience as HR Manager/Generalist or equivalent experience that includes handling employee relations issues
* Prior management experience a plus

This person will support the Product, Brand/Demand, Control and Training groups and act as backup support of the Experience team. They will be responsible for leadership development planning and execution. This will be accomplished through partnership and project management with Corporate and other appropriate business groups.

Exceptional generalist, project management and analytical skills required. The ability to influence, coach and partner with senior level managers is required.
