HR Consultant Measurement/Workforce Anal
Description:
As a member of HR Technology, Operations and Analytics, reporting to the Functional Program Manager for Business Insights, this role is responsible for providing data-based insight, basic statistical analyses, and consulting to business and HR leaders in order to help them understand the implications of the associate experience and manage our talent effectively. This role is intended to provide the analytics necessary to support the transition from HR as a support function to that of a proactive business partner.
This role is involved in all phases of measurement initiatives that can span the various areas of the business, global regions and markets, and HR content areas. Measurement consultants are the primary point of accountability for successful strategy, design, and implementation of work that falls within the role content domain (below):
Content Domain
HR Measurement Ensure that business leaders have access to the people and HR process-related data and insight required to enable business planning and solid decisions. Work often takes the form of measurement strategy development (system, process, talent), data-based decision making (analysis and interpretation of results), product offerings and innovation, and the shift to high-tech (from high-touch) data delivery. Insight is provided through the data trends and results that enable talent and workforce planning related decisions. Involves identifying the critical business needs in which analyses could provide significant additional value.
Measurement strategies are established for internal clients that require the ability to measure the impact of an action or effectiveness of a system or process. This work would include reporting of operational data (i.e. headcount, movement, turnover/retention, diversity, expense, valuation metrics) to guide HR planning exercises and contribute to forums designated to the monthly review of key human capital metrics (e.g. Human Capital Return on Investment), supplied with external best thinking to support workforce analytics on the whole.
Qualifications:
Education, Certifications, and Work Experience Required
Advanced degree desired Economics, Statistics, Marketing, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, HR, or MBA.
Minimum 4-6 years of HR consulting or related business experience.
2-4 years of project management experience.
Demonstrated success in working with internal clients and across project teams.
Strong attention to detail/accuracy
Working knowledge of HR programs, human capital metrics, and market research techniques.
Proven track record of successfully developing, implementing, and measuring HR systems or services.
Ability to apply statistical methods including, descriptive (T-test), predictive (simple, multivariate, and logistic regression), data reduction (principle components/factor analysis), simple and multivariate ANOVA, and segmentation (cluster) methods of analysis.
Knowledge Base Required
Theoretical and applied expertise in two or more of the following:
Human resource measurement strategy and human capital metrics
Market research techniques
Employee research and employee engagement research
Business (including HR/Workforce and Financial) planning
Strategy mapping and balanced scorecard development
Process consulting and measurement
Technical Competencies and Skills Required
Applications: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SPSS (preferred) or SAS, LISREL desired
Access and Cognos Business Suite Powerplay and Transformer experience a plus
