HR Director, Commercial Operations

The Human Resources Director is responsible for the definition and implementation of HR strategies and processes for commercial side of the Packaging Resources Group of MeadWestvaco. This group consists of PRG?s various lines of business which include the following functions:? sales, product development, technical sales service, marketing, finance, supply chain, and the office of business excellence.? The implementation of these strategies and processes will support the delivery of business objectives of the PRG.

Responsibilities:
??Improve effectiveness of Lines of Business organizations in PRG.
??Improve effectiveness of cross-functional teams in matrix environment.
??Work with leadership to establish world-class supply chain organization.
??Establish and maintain effective relationship with clients at all levels of the commercial organization
??Apply Human Resources methodologies and processes to manage human assets in a change environment
??Develop compensation programs for sales organization
??Understand the use of Human Resource processes to achieve business objectives
??Use Human Resources policies and practices to provide advice and counsel to organizational clients
??Broker and assure effectiveness of internal recruiting resources
??Develop career paths for key roles in organization, e.g. engineers, MBAs, supply chain, sales.
??Assist managers in developing effective succession plans.
??Facilitate team meetings to assure effectiveness as needed.
??Develop and use as appropriate talent assessment tools with assistance from Corporate OD.?
??Assure appropriate diversity to reflect needs of customer base and broaden business perspective of talent.
??Work closely with Director of HR ? Operations to coordinate cross-business talent development.

Experience:
??5-7 years experience in a senior leadership role in Human Resources
??Strong experience in Organizational Development
??Demonstrated ability to develop and drive human resources strategic plans to achieve business success
??Ability to effectively work and communicate at all levels within the organization
??Advance Degree is a plus
??Compensation experience with sales incentive programs

Education Required:?
??Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or related field.? MBA preferred but not required.

Travel Required:?? 20%
