HR Director/Generalist

Fathead (www.fathead.com), is the maker of the hottest precision cut, real-life sports & entertainment based wall graphics. Fathead produces life-sized cut-outs wall graphics of of Sports and Entertainment starts. Specifically with the NFL and NBA stars, as well as NFL team helmets and NASCAR racecars like Kurt Busch?s #2 car.  New products featuring other areas coming soon. 

 

We are rapidly expanding our team and are seeking highly skilled, self-motivated individuals who want to join this exciting fast paced growth organization.

 

Position Description:

Fathead is seeking a HR Director/Generalist. The position is responsible the Human Resource functions of a fast growing organization. The individual will be the ?people? leader and key in the cultural development of the organization while being a core member of the management team defining business strategy. Specifically the job function will iclude: recruiting, retention, employee issue management, benefits, compensation, organizational structure, training, and overall general employee welfare. 

 

A qualified individual is expected to possess exceptional interpersonal skills and un-paralleled integrity. The person must balance a wide variety of responsibilities in addition to being a substantial contributor to the business strategy.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job. Other duties may be assigned.

?  Works closely with managers and staffing services to identify appropriate candidates for internal postings. Conducts new hire orientations for hourly workers.

?  Administers all aspects of payroll and proactively address payroll issues, answers employee payroll questions, prepares manual check requests and distributes paychecks.

?  Provides employee assistance with benefits administration and enrollment including 401k, medical, dental, life, LTD, STD, etc.

?  Answers questions from supervisors and employees and resolves problems, monitors policy application to ensure that policies are consistently applied, makes suggestions for policy changes and updates

?  Sets up and maintains employee files and other personnel records and logs; prepares and disburses to appropriate department?s employee information such as payroll change forms and new employee lists.

?  Handles a high volume of employee inquiries on a timely basis.

 

Knowledge & Skill Needs:

?  Exceptional integrity in every facet of work including the handling and ownership of confidential information.

?  Superior interpersonal skills to motivate when appropriate, diffuse when appropriate, and challenge when appropriate.

?  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

?  Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Candidate must be proficient in MS Office.

?  Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on employee relations & recruiting. Preference will be given to candidates who have a bachelor?s degree in HR or business management concentrating on HR
