HR Director - Pharmaceutical Clinical Development

Our client, a pharmaceutical life science company in northern NJ offers an exciting opportunity for a high-performing HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR to act as lead business partner for its Clinical Development function.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

As a member of Clinical Development key leadership team, this individual is responsible for overall HR strategy and design that supports Clinical Research Development.

 Works closely with the CMO, Office of Medical Affairs to ensure success of organizational design/development initiatives and enhance workforce productivity and business growthWorks closely with all members of Clinical Development team and provides coaching for development and organizational alignment Supports business objectives for Clinical R&D through HR value added support & leadershipResponsible for all employee relations and employee engagement, productivity, and teamwork initiatives that enable Clinical Development objectives to be met.Assists in leading Succession Planning process and analysis of competitive marketplace for Clinical Development professionalsResponsible for Clinical Development staffing strategy & recruitingResponsible to lead on-going compensation benchmarking in partnership with Dir Comp & Benefits, and  handle inquiries on compensation and benefitsResponsible to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations



 

REQUIREMENTS:

 8+ years HR Generalist experience including 3+ years in biotech or pharmaceutical Clinical Research & Development area (position requires strong knowledge of Clinical Development functions) Demonstrated client leadership as a business partner. Strong OD/OE, talent management, and employee engagement skills/experience. Ability to work as a team player in a very fast-paced environment Demonstrated ability to lead and influence within a business team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelors Degree (Masters Degree a plus)

 

REPORTING STRUCTURE:

 

Matrixed reporting to VP HR, and to Chief Medical Officer
