HR Generalist/Resource Coordinator-006OY

Description The People Consultant/Resource Coordinator is the point of contact for Ernst & Young employees in our Transactional Advisory Services (TAS) practice in the Central Zone. This hybrid role will spend 50% of the time on generalist work and the other 50% will be spent on resource management and scheduling of TAS professionals.

Responsibilities
Serve as a point of contact for employees in select groups or practices.

Coordinate and communicate extensively with service lines to achieve the best possible results for employees in the practice(s).

Help to execute compensation processes, including: merit increases and compensation adjustments; as well as recognition awards.

Assist in people development processes, when appropriate, including: the Feedback Zone and performance management (e.g., annual reviews and follow-up on deadlines); andhandling all logistics of the roundtable process including creating filters, assigning meetings, generating reports and printing books.

Take the lead on firm-wide orientation and support other on-boarding/integration processes and programs, including the assignment of peer advisors, counselors and performance development teams. Create Welcome Memos for new hires, work closely with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition for new hires and transfers and also follow up with the new hires to obtain their bios and schedule them for TS orientation.

Manage employee relations issues. Handle issues as appropriate, and escalate issues as needed.

Handle immigration issues including Green Cards and Visas.

Responsible for all reporting, including people ops and headcount reports.

Maintain files on CPA compliance, issue reminders and follow-up as needed to ensure compliance throughout the group.

Work in conjunction with the AABS practice on the intern program, coordinating communications, scheduling and exit interviews.

Other responsibilities as assigned, some of which may include Lunch & Learn logistics, writing articles for the TAS Mania newsletter and entering data into Peoplesoft.

Monitor, analyze, and process schedule requests submitted by engagement personnel. Monitor, validate and process adjustments and feedback on engagement personnel's schedules. Monitor available and/or overbooked situations and projects assigned to phantom resources.

Review and address projects in which scheduling action is required. Reassign projects as client service personnel join or leave the practice, or if workloads are shifted and balanced.

Monitor utilization reports for inconsistencies and investigate as necessary. Periodically review the personnel roster. Develop and prepare area-wide reports relating to utilization, time reporting, forecasting and related matters.

Act as a change agent for the scheduling process. Assist in the education of client service personnel on the scheduling process. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

To qualify for this career opportunity, candidates must have:

* a bachelor's degree in a related discipline
* 3-5 years of experience in a related role
* knowledge of internal policies and procedures
* knowledge of firm-wide and service line orientation programs
* general knowledge of HR laws and practices
* excellent customer service, interpersonal, facilitation, conflict management, and change management skills
* the ability to flex to different challenges, and listen/respond to others
* the ability to identify and use internal resources
Occasional travel may also be required.
