HR Management Consultant – Corporate Position

We have an attractive opportunity for a corporate HR Management Consultant to enhance and maintain a high performance culture.  The successful candidate has worked as an HR Generalist and understands how to align HR solutions with key business initiatives.  Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, this position will provide field HR support and will interact with leadership and employees at Manpower Headquarters and field locations.  In particular, this position will support our Northeast Division working directly with the division VP and regional directors.  Preferred location for this position is East Windsor, CT.

 

Major Accountabilities
This position requires up to 75% local/regional travel and up to 20% overnight travel.
Design solutions that attract, engage, develop, and reward the talent so we have the capability to deliver our strategies.
Monitors HR related activities and addresses potential and actual issues as necessary to maintain a positive work environment that is supportive to management and employees. 
Works closely with senior leadership, divisional human resources and operational managers to identify, develop and implement strategic organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Assesses needs for leadership and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of management/employee performance. 
Remains current on organization development trends; identifies/incorporates best practices.
Guide managers and employees on problem solving, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance and litigation avoidance. 
Supports employee relations, recruiting, compensation, benefits, EE0/AA, and communication programs in compliance with established policies, procedures, federal, state and local laws and regulations.

 

Experience/Skills
Seven plus years of HR Generalist experience
Minimum of three years of proven experience executing and delivering systems and programs for talent management, leadership development, performance management and organizational effectiveness
Demonstrated success building business relationships and advising and coaching management on HR solutions
Understands employment law and applies knowledge to ensure compliance and minimize company risk
Demonstrated experience in the areas of employee relations and conducting investigations
Strong business acumen
Demonstrated understanding and application of HR best practices
Blends solid consulting skills with business focus
Understands the impact of change and uses project and change management disciplines
Demonstrated analytical, project planning, and experience handling multiple tasks and projects
Strong presentation and facilitation skills required
College degree in business administration, HR, organizational development or related field
Experience supporting field sales organization strongly preferred
