HR Rep II-Retirement & Benefits Specialist Needed for Hospital Network

JPSH is a 429-bed teaching hospital with a Level II Trauma Center, a Level III NICU and is part of the JPS Health Network, which is a community resource that provides and coordinates quality healthcare services.

 

JPS programs and services are part of a system that not only includes JPSH, but also Trinity Springs Pavilion for psychiatric services and our 30-bed JPS Diagnostic & Surgery Hospital of Arlington, along with a growing number of health care centers located throughout Tarrant County.

 

JPS Health Network currently has a full-time HR Representative II-Retirement & Benefits Specialist position in our HR Benefits & Compensation Department.  Responsible for  the administration of JPS Health Network  retirement plans which include a defined contribution and defined benefit plan. This includes evaluation of the plan with the vendor and  calculating initial estimates of benefits, updates and assures that information is uploaded and and maintained accurately into the Lawson HRIS.  Educates employees on the retirement plan program and benefits offered  which includes: the retirement plan coordination of the 403b and 457 enrollments, changes, and distributions.  The specialist plans and coordinates retirement celebrationsfor employees.


 

Qualifications:  Associate's Degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two years progressive administrative support experience in accounting or human resources with knowledge in the areas of insurance and/or employee benefits claims and processing. Strong computer experience with hands on experience with HRIS and prefer experience with Lawson. proficiency in Word, Excel and advance spreadsheet experience. .

 

Specialized Training or Certification:  Associate's degree in finance, accounting, human resources, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of two years progressive benefits administration  experience in a human resources department supporting 3,000 plus employees. Knowledge in the areas of  retirement and health welfare benefits  claims administration. Strong compliance and HRIS computer experience, Lawson system preferred. Proficiency in Word, Excel and advance spreadsheet experience. Excellent math, written and verbal communication skills and capable of handling highly confidential information. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to counsel all employees including physicians.
