HR Representative II

Job Responsibilities:

Provide HR Generalist and Technical Recruiting support for the EchoStar Technologies Service department.  Performs Generalist duties in a variety of human resources management areas including, recruitment, benefits administration, training and organizational development, process improvements, safety, and employee relations.

Recruiting:

Will support a fairly high volume of entry level and technical positions.  Coordinates with hiring managers to determine department recruiting needs. Prepares position postings and ads, coordinates and participates in the interview process, reviews and evaluates candidates, and makes recommendations to hiring managers. Communicates job offers and declines to candidates.

Benefits Administration:

Required to be well versed on the benefit plans and guidelines EchoStar offers.  Assist employees with their benefits questions. Process FMLA and Worker?s Comp paperwork.  Act as a liaison between the employee and our corporate office.Employee Relations:

Assists departmental management and staff with employee relations? issues.  Including interpretation of personnel policies, procedures and guidelines. Maintains communication with departments on all human resources related issues. Identifies areas for process improvements and works with other management and HR staff to implement improvements.  Is responsible for investigating and responding to employee complaints.  Ensures the appropriate handling of disciplinary and other employee relations activities.

Training:

Conduct bi-weekly New Hire Orientation training.  Monthly benefits workshop training, and other training as needed.  May be required to develop training materials if the need arises.

Qualifications:

The candidate must have a solid knowledge of all elements of the Human Resources function.  Qualified candidates should have a BA/BS in Business or related field and a minimum of 5 years HR Generalist experience within a high volume, fast paced, technological environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR Certification desired.  Must be knowledgeable of Georgia & Federal Employment law and have a strong background in handling Employee Relation issues and Investigations.  Should be comfortable working with a management team comprised of both low-level supervisors and high level Directors and VP?s from a variety of functional areas.  The ability to multitask and prioritize is a must!  Strong customer service skills are imperative.  Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentially.  Attention to detail is critical.  Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills are essential.  Must be self directed and able to work with little supervision.

 Skills: MS Office experience required, and Oracle HRIS experience is a plus. Must have solid knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques and requirements of the federal Selection Guidelines and the Americans with Disabilities Acts.  Ability to effectively respond to and interact with all levels of organizational staff.  Competencies include excellent presentation/facilitation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills. Flexible, innovative and the ability to manage staff, responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth-oriented and time-critical environment.
