HR Systems Director

Job Description: Education: Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred with courses in human resources management, or equivalent background.

Experience: 10+ years in HR, and at least 5 years' experience in HR systems. PeopleSoft experience required. Workbrain experience preferred. PMP certification preferred. Proven track record of implementing large ERP applications.

Leads the development, design, implementation and operation of Human Resources (HR) systems activities.

1. Provides strategic and operational direction in the development and implementation of major HR systems projects impacting the entire company, including budgets, schedules and deliverables.

2. Provides direction in the definition, documentation and justification of assigned projects, and oversees their detailed design, programming and installation, assuring necessary interfaces with technical operations and the user department.

3. Ensures completion of work assigned in a timely and efficient manner, in support of the overall company HR systems plans.

4. Provides direction for the development of strategic HR systems plans for the evolution of existing applications into systems with enhanced functionality, modularity, flexibility and integration.

5. Identifies opportunities for HR systems improvements, and within established limits, initiates improvement actions.

6. Directs the planning, budgeting, and forecasting of long-term HR technology needs and applications. Maintains awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality.

7. Keeps advised of development and changes in company operations, interprets their impact on systems, and consults with Information Technology senior management as appropriate.

8. Participates in the development and implementation of training programs for HR systems associates.
