HR Training Manager
1. Develop a course catalog to include course descriptions, objectives, target audience and methods of instruction.
2. Assess and develop formalized training including 14-day department training checklists, within each department.
3. Research and solicit outside education resources.
4. Maintain, update and conduct, as needed, the Supervisors Survival Guide with new managers and supervisors; training to include such topics as MAP, Interviewing Skills, Harassment Prevention, Violence in the Workplace Training, Worker?s Compensation Information, Coaching and Counseling, Effective Performance Appraisal Writing and more.
5. Conduct New-Hire Associate Orientation and organize (or conduct if bi-lingual) Spanish New-Hire Employee Orientation quarterly.
6. Develop and instruct Re-Orientation in English and Spanish for all employees after 2 years of employment and again after 5 years of employment.
7. Coordinate in-house alcohol awareness training and CPR/Basic First Aid training annually.
8. Coordinate various programs in conjunction with the educational needs of employees, including identifying applicable certification and licensing needs.
9. Monitor the Training Activity Checklist and Safety Checklist program for all departments. Review training materials annually and provide support as needed.
10. Assists Department Heads in the review of all Department Service Standards and assist with updates as needed.
11. Assist with the Commendation Program and monitor the program as it relates to Departmental and resort-wide service standards.
12. Prepare monthly meeting topics for all Departments (including DH&R Guiding Principals, Safety and Policy and Procedure information) and monitor use by collecting minutes from all departments.
13. Assist in editing and writing articles for the monthly Resort Newsletter.
14. Assist with and maintain the employee communication program; including updating HR bulletin boards and posting information for staff in both the Monthly Meeting Minutes, in the Coyote Caf?, via the Intranet, etc.
15. Maintain, update and ?advertise? an in-house library to include training videos, books and publications.
16. Administer and monitor the tuition reimbursement program in conjunction with the Human Resources Director and the General Manager.
17. Data entry into HRIS all Resort wide training information (attendance and training requirements) and generate reports for training needed by individuals.
18. Keeps abreast and communicates corporate wide (DH&R) education and training directives.
19. Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and fellow employees at all times. Maintain a position of high visibility within the Resort.
20. Aid co-workers in employee relation?s activities as needed.
21. Attend all Human Resource functions and assist in implementation as required.
22. Must be available and willing to answer employee questions and assist in employee issues at all times.
Four-year college degree in related field preferred
Minimum of two years hospitality Human Resource experience required or 5 years management/supervisory experience, preferably in the Hospitality industry
Minimum of one-year platform training experience.
PC Skills ? data entry, Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel required.
Typing 45 wpm or better.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong employee relation skills.
