HR business Partner/Generalist Contractor - Job # 1012612

 

OVERVIEW OF ROLE

This position requires an experienced HR Business Partner to support the General Counsel and Internal Audit client groups within Shared Services.  As part of a small team, the role will require building strong working relationships with the client areas and HR specialists to effectively handle all HR related matters.  Based in New York, this person will report to the Global HR Business Partner for these client areas. 

 

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE: 

 

?  Responsible for all aspects of human resource administration for the General Counsel and Internal Audit client groups (domestic population of approx. 400 employees).

?  Manage lateral recruiting process by liaising with internal recruitment vendor and at times external search firms, coordinating approval process, preparing offer packages, negotiating contracts and assisting with VISA issues.

?  Conduct voluntary resignation exit interviews; partner with managers and Legal to handle involuntary terminations.

?  Coordinate domestic relocations and international assignments.

?  Advise and counsel managers on performance concerns and conflict resolution.

?  Interpret and coach managers and employees on Firm policies and procedures in a consistent manner to ensure compliance with all appropriate local laws and regulations.

?  Manage and coordinate the annual promotion process for Dir, VP and AVP titles.

?  Work with Global HR Business Partner and Compensation Analyst to manage the year-end compensation processes.

?  Partner with the HR Learning Partner in the Business School to disseminate review process and develop appropriate training sessions.

?  Manage the team?s HR Analyst through key projects and initiatives.

 

 

BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

?  5-7 years HR experience, 3-5 years as a HR Business Partner/ Generalist

?  Experience in a financial services company preferred

?  Strong relationship management experience and ability to interact with all levels of employees

?  Solid employee relations expertise

?  Strong written and oral communication skills

?  Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

?  Sound judgment and attention to detail

?  Assertive self-starter and independent thinker with the ability to work in a team environment

?  Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PeopleSoft, Outlook

 

 

EDUCATION  

 

?  Bachelor?s Degree (required)

?  Masters in HR or related field (desired)
