HRIS Manager

Landry?s Restaurants, a leader in the casual dining restaurant industry, owns and operates casual dining restaurants including, Landry?s Seafood House, Joe?s Crab Shack, Willie G?s, Rainforest Cafe, Charley?s Crab, Chart House, the Crab House, the Kemah Boardwalk and Saltgrass Steakhouse to name a few.  Landry?s Restaurants has an open position for an experienced HRIS Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in the Galleria area of Houston, TX.  This position will report to the Vice President of Human Resources. Requirements:  Must have five to seven years of HRIS or HR Generalist experience, with a focus on Payroll and Benefits.  We are seeking candidates with proven success managing implementations, conversions, and maintenance of Oracle HRMS 11i systems.  Qualified candidates will have solid project management skills with demonstrated experience developing user requirements into functional specifications.  Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation.  Solid understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes, and experience with database tools. Experience in an environment with a majority of hourly or tipped employees is preferred.  The candidate will also have technical aptitude and expertise with common software applications such as Microsoft Office.  

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: The candidate will take the lead role in the installation, implementation, and maintenance of the HRIS system.  Develops and prioritizes project requests and monitors project completion to assigned deadlines. Manages the evaluation of the functionality of the HRIS system and recommends solutions that meet business needs. Manages the process of gathering end user requirements for the HRIS system and serves as a liaison to the Information Technology department.  Delivers end-user training; creates key HR-related business reports using database-reporting tools; ensures data integrity; and troubleshoots system problems.   

 

Education:  Bachelor?s degree required. 

 

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent analytical, customer service, and communication skills required; ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment; experience with Microsoft Access based HRIS systems a plus; proven ability to identify problems and effect resolutions.
