HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

EnerSys, the world leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Generalist at our Corporate Headquarters in Reading, PA. This individual could be responsible for:

 

- Activities could include assisting in recruitment, maintaining proper payrolls, insuring benefits are properly managed, oversight of workers compensation claims, responding to legal actions, managing employee orientations, salary adjustments, auditing plants, and other activities related to Human Resources

- Ongoing assistance in the completion of various projects as assigned, may include assisting in the procurement of health plans, revising procedures/processes, maintaining Employee Master Records, providing information on Affirmative Action Plans, maintaining paperwork around drug testing policies, etc.

- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops or classes, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies

- Travel may be required from time to time to support various plant and/or service center personnel, travel intensity could be as high as 30% to 40% but will vary based on the needs of the organization

 

The selected candidate must have:

 

- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field with 3 years of direct experience or at least 5 years of increasing responsibility as a Human Resources Generalist in a manufacturing environment

- PHR/SPHR Certification is strongly preferred

- Basic understanding of Human Resources regulations:  FSLA, FMLA, ERISA, COBRA, Employment at Will, ADA, ADEA, HIPPA, Equal Pay Act, etc.

- Ability to manage routine processes to insure that all necessary paperwork is received and filed in an appropriate manner

- Ability to present a positive attitude while working with employees throughout the organization to resolve their questions

- Ability to utilize ADP computer system and HRIS system

- Competent computer skills using MicroSoft Office

- Experience in providing advice to supervisors and managers
