HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER / LABOR RELATIONS A PLUS

The Danville facility procures, blends, fills and packages a wide variety of personal care aerosol and liquid products for major multi-national marketing companies.

We are searching for a talented, hands-on Human Resources Manager with proven strengths in Labor Relations and a solid Generalist background to lead and achieve HR objectives at our Danville facility.  This position is open due to promotion. The successful candidate is a dynamic leader with a sense of urgency and ability to drive change in an environment where relationship building skills are critical.  You will spend time one on one with employees out on the production floor working closely with plant management and staff as you coach and transition managers and supervisors to a new way of directing and managing their staff members. Your goals: to build a partnership with the GM to accomplish objectives,  create an atmosphere of development, retention and continuous improvement for our employees, continue the forward progress in employee and labor relations and to manage and ensure that personnel operations are running smoothly.

Ideal Qualifications:Minimum 7 years Human Resources experience in a Generalist capacity in a manufacturing environment A degree is preferred however; an equivalent combination of experience and education may also be considered Experience in a Union environment Professional Certification a plus Must be improvement driven, and detail oriented with excellent communication skillsTrack Record of moving into positions offering increasing responsibility in Human Resources Proficiency with Microsoft Office 

Expected CapabilitiesTeam and relationship building Must be a strong communicator, will lead and train managers and
supervisors as well as floor personnel -  in proper procedures for
handling staff situations Leads and manages the HR Team by example in the following: hiring practices, compensation, benefits administration, labour/employee relations, training, and workers comp A sense of urgency, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize multiple projects simultaneously
