Health and Welfare Account Manager

Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY: Aon Consulting, among the top global human resources consulting firms, has a challenging opportunity for a Health & Welfare Account Specialist in our Portland office. The Health & Welfare Specialist will be responsible for providing consultative and project management support to consultants working with consultants and clients relating to H&W plan strategy, design, evaluation, and implementation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
?Demonstrate a high level of client service support and liaison with carriers, including client and vendor presentations and meeting facilitation
?Prepare and analyze requests for proposals (RFPs)
?Provide plan implementation and other customer support services
?Research, prepare, and write clear, accurate and concise reports/proposals
?Assist with sales, marketing and proposal development
?Utilize Aon Consulting's proprietary analytical tools and resources
?Must be able to work flexible hours, as needed, to meet team and client deliverables
?Must be able to travel to meetings/benefit fairs

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
?5+ years experience in group health and welfare benefits with a brokerage/consulting firm or carrier, with strong emphasis on healthcare, life, and disability products
?Excellent, proven project management skills
?Ability to review contract booklets and SPDs
?Ability to analyze carrier utilization reports, claims data and trends
?Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory compliance provisions
?Advanced MS Office skills
?Strong communications skills
?Solutions-oriented team player
?Work with a high level of interest, energy and enthusiasm to meet and exceed client expectations
?Demonstrate the highest level of integrity and honesty in all interactions with clients, carriers, and staff.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
?College degree or equivalent experience
?Life and Disability License preferred
