Responsibilities:
Effectively operate in a HR outsourced and shared services environment with emphasis on strategic business partnering while also recognizing and completing required tactical responsibilities.
Identify business needs and engage Shared Service Resources to create and implement pragmatic solutions to achieve business goals and strategic objectives.
Interact with business leaders in the defined business or operational area as well as the larger enterprise in support of people initiatives: retention, workforce planning, staffing and performance management.
Align the Human Capital function with the business requirements while actively participating in business issues such as revenue growth and operating income.
Interfaces with the Senior Human Capital Leader to review issues, patterns, trends, etc.
Develop the strategic Human Capital Plan, which aligns with the overall segment Human Capital Plan.
Provide organization consulting on key people strategies in support of the business segment objectives.
Encourages building strength through diversity.
Maximize the enterprise-wide compensation, reward and recognition programs through collaboration with the shared services compensation function to drive initiatives which will support the goals of the business segment.
Create processes and solutions in partnership with plan management to supports a positive employee relations environment through effective communications, policies and practices.
BA/BS degree in Business or related field.
Minimum of 5+ years Human Resource generalist experience.
Experience working in a HR function with shared service delivery and strategic business partner model with matrix reporting relationships is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of PeopleSoft or other sophisticated ERP system.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Presentation and facilitatation skills are desirable.
Prior experience with laws pertaining to workman's compensation, FMLA, OSHA, and other related issues.
Exceptional interpersonal/communication skills, project management skills, negotiating skills.
Experience interfacing with, quickly gaining credibility, and partnering with business leaders; ability to communicate initiatives, progress against goals, and influence management decisions.
Ability to work independently, without administrative support; MS product "power user" strongly preferred (Word, Excel, PPT).
Work schedule flexibility, including availability for overtime along with change management.
Self-starter, creative, reliable, able to think outside the box and streamline processes which increase productivity and improve efficiencies in the work environment.
Experience handling mergers and acquisitions to ensure effective integration of acquisitions.
Labor relations experience.
Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
