Human Resorces Generalist

Occupational Summary:

Perform a variety of specialized, complex activities in the coordination of Human Resources.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
- Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems.
- Prepare, process and distribute payroll.
- Design and conduct new employee orientations.
- Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
- Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries.
- Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems.
- Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
- Ensure that said policies and procedures are followed

Other duties as assigned.

Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor?s degree in business/management/human resources or equivalent
Typically experience of 4-5 years in HR generalist functions is required

Specialized knowledge and Skills:
- Good working knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principals, applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations.
- Should be able to handle high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding employee information
- Excellent planning, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization and interpersonal skills are required.
- Good working knowledge of all MS Office products required.
