Human Resource Associate
The Human Resources Associate will support the Human Resources and Safety departments. This is a highly visible position that requires strong organizational skills to handle a mixture of both routine and demand driven work load. Demonstrated confidentiality, organization and credibility are key to success in this position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Administration of active and retiree benefits including health, dental, life insurance and 401k plans.
Act as primary resource for all employee questions and concerns re: benefits
Administer and maintain all employee records,files and forms
Administration and coordination of safety programs including workers compensation, OSHA and MIOSHA requirements, Ralcorp monthly safety reports, medical testing programs, MSDS programs, Plant/facility security systems.
Employee relations activities including active participation in event planning committees
Assist in staffing/recruiting/hiring activities within the plant and office including job positing, scheduling of interviews, preemployment testing
Active participation in plant wide safety initiatives including safety committee meetings and safety training
Training coordination activities
Daily scheduling of plant employees - this position will act as a backup for the scheduler
HR activities including: contract administration; legal and company posting requirements; administration of plant policies and procedures including attendance, FMLA, funeral leave, jury duty leave, military leave, etc...
Administrative support for the Human Resources and safety department including reception, filing,mail, paycheck sorting,ordering of supplies, flowers, etc..
Administrative projects as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Must have flexibility in availability to work 6am and weekends as required of scheduling function. Core hours are 6:30-7:00 3:30 - 4:00
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with employees at all levels in the company
Detail and deadline orientation
Strong organizational skills
Intermediate computer skills including MS Office Suite
Human Resources and/or safety experience a plus
Ability to work independently
HS diploma or equivalent, outside training and/or college coursework a plus
