This position exists to provide advice and counsel to associates, HR professionals, and managers on moderate to complex associate relations and human resources issues via telephone communication. The incumbent will also perform investigations, including on-site investigations, of alleged misconduct and harassment in the workplace. By properly engaging other HR departments, the law department, asset protection, and other applicable corporate departments, the incumbent will be responsible for assessing and prioritizing issues to ensure efficient and timely resolution of HR issues and policy questions. This position reports to the Manager, Human Resources Consultation.

Qualifications
RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Providing advice, counsel and resolution with respect to inquiries on HR policy and procedures.
2. Investigating workplace harassment, workplace violence issues and other claims of misconduct in the workplace, including on-site investigations (generally will require travel.
3. Remaining versed in changes to HR policies and procedures and employment laws and regulations.
4. Engaging in and executing case-management to document issues and their resolution.
5. Interfacing and partnering with HR departments and other company departments to ensure timely and efficient resolution of HR issues.
6. Supporting the law department in defending the company in employment litigation.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of three years Human Resource management experience.
2. Experience in a generalist or associate relations specialty role with a large company.
3. In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment laws.
4. Strong and effective communications skills, both verbal and written.
5. Intense customer service focus with a strong sense of urgency.
6. Strong interpersonal skills.
