Human Resource Manager - Express Stores- Columbus, OH

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for associate relations and other Generalist duties for Stores and the Store Operations group. Partners with Zone Vice President, Regional Managers, District Managers and Regional Assistants to meet the needs of the field associates with regard to any Human Resources matter. Provides coaching and direction regarding performance management, associate relations and employment law. Reports to a Human Resources Director.

Must possess the ability to:

-Assist with determining organizational human resources needs
-Work with Zone Vice President and Regional Managers to determine staffing requirements
-Ensure smooth transition and appropriate on-boarding for all management associates in new positions
-Identify training needs and make recommendations to Learning and Development
-Administer compensation within predetermined guidelines
-Coordinate and execute annual and mid-year performance review process
-Coach Regional Managers on associate relations issues
-Conduct exit interviews


-Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience
-Five to seven years human resources experience
-Experience should include all areas of human resources
-Strong communication skills
-Outstanding associate relations expertise
-High degree of professionalism and confidentiality
-Proven relationship-building skills
-Ability to analyze business needs and craft practices and specific solutions
