Human Resource Specialist/Coordinator

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

TITLE:  Human Resource Specialist/Coordinator

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

 

SCOPE OF WORK: HR Specialist/Coordinator. Position includes all aspects of HR, including experience with employee relations, benefits administration, hiring, terminations, performance and compensation reviews. Develop, implement and improve internal policies & procedures. Ability to work with all levels of personnel and excellent computer and communication skills both oral and written.  Strong understanding of California and Federal Employment laws obtained through continued education or experience in the HR Field. Assist Director of Operations with research data for special projects.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for data entry, record maintenance, and ensuring company standards are met for new hires and appropriate exit procedures for employee leaving RDSI employment are maintained, such as Cobra paperwork

 

Policy development, management of company-wide insurance and benefit programs, vendor liaison for various outsourced services such as recruitment agencies, background checks and other programs as required

 

Generate weekly, monthly reporting of Human Resources data as directed, timesheets, benefit eligibility and performance evaluations schedule.

 

Consistently audit systems to ensure integrity of data is maintained in various HR functions such as employee personnel records, address changes, California and Federal posting requirements, requests for vacations, sick leave and other time away from work.



QUALIFICATIONS:

.

? Bachelor?s Degree in Human Resources or HR Certification.

? Minimum one (1) year of Human Resources generalist experience preferred.

? Knowledge of Federal and State labor/employment laws.

? Intermediate PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).

? Ability to work with minimal supervision.

? Strong organizational skills.

? Possess critical thinking skills and analytical/problem-solving ability.

? Effective written and oral communication skills.

? Proven ability to work well under various time constraints.

? Demonstrate initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Salary: $35-$45K based on Experience
